Hello,
i know this is more a general audio editing question, but i don't have very much experience with this stuff.
My recording device supports a sampling rate of 96 kHz and a sampling depth of 24 bit.
When i import my recorded files into AP it recognizes the choosen settings.
So, when i edit my files, shall i keep these settings or shall i first resample the files to the highest possible settings in AP?
Perhaps AP does it's internal calculations on a 32 bit base and this step is useless - i don't know how this tools work.
Thanks in advance and best regards,
Karl

Simple answer: just keep it

Generally speaking, you don't really ever want to sample "up" unless absolutely required.
i.e. 24 bit to 16 bit = OK, but nothing is gained by going the other way, and you can encounter some anomalies in doing so. It does not make the sound "better", for lack of a more appropriate term.
