import to iTunes 08

Post by doctorD »

First I do appreciate the conversation in this forum because I was able to get tunes into iTunes by following the approach given.

However, I don't fully agree with the comment

This is NOT Amadeus LP Pro and NOT Amadeus Vinyl Pro.

Export to iTunes is not "Export LP to iTunes." Amadeus Pro is an audio editing program. It is meant to record audio from any source of audio. It's not just an LP editing program.

First, by this logic, it shouldn't burn CDs either, but it does without any additional steps and even creates CD-Text. Going to iTunes should be just as seemless.

Second, product use is defined by the user(s), not the producers, so if a lot of customers (like me) want to use it to move our vinyl records to CDs and iTunes, then our needs should be at least as valid as those who use it for other tasks.

So my request is that following steps similar to burning a CD, that the songs (note plural) could be exported directly to iTunes without needing special apple scripts, etc. (Or why can't Amadeus incorporate the functionality of the scripts).
