Amadeus Pro crash on 10.4

Post by Martin Hairer »

It seems that the Safari 4 update on MacOS 10.4 interfers with Amadeus
Pro's auto-update function. I am currently investigating this and hope
to be able to fix it in version 1.4.2. For the moment, if you are
running Mac OS 10.4, you can deactivate the auto-update function by
typing

defaults write com.HairerSoft.AmadeusPro HSCheckForUpdates -bool NO

in the Terminal. If you are using MacOS 10.5, there should be no
problem. Regards,

Martin

Amadeus Pro crash on 10.4

Post by Martin Hairer »

Update: The problem only concerns french users running MacOS 10.4. It
turned out to be unrelated to Safari 4, it is only a coincidence that
the problem occured on the same day. The problem is that the server
hosting the french localisation of the program has crashed badly and
is currently being recovered. Therefore, when Amadeus Pro queries for
the updates file, it is being redirected to a "file not found" page.

Unfortunately, MacOS 10.4 seems to have a bug whereby this redirection
causes the program to crash. Hopefully, the server will be restored
very soon. Regards,

Martin
