when listening to a file often times a sound editor needs to drop a marker in real time noting transitions, glitches lip smacks etc

while AP _does_ drop markers a dialog box appeaqrs that requires you to click on it to complete dropping the marker

this obviously gets in the way when trying to mark events in real time

*is there a way to turn off this box from appearing so that I can just drop the marker wherever the cursor is during play back?

Just hit "p". This will place a marker at the playback head location
without dropping a dialog box. Regards,
