Temp files twice fast

Post by anothersite »

I am using Amadeus Pro (AP) 1.3.3 under OS X 10.5.5.

I did a one hour recording. I tried to shut down my computer before saving the file. D'oh. AP crashed, but saved 5 temp files to Trash. I moved the files from the Trash to my desktop, then tried to import the temp files to AP. I tried the different import settings. I even managed to figure out how to string the 5 temp files together, but I have ended up with chipmunk speech and a 30 minute recording.

How can I get my 60 minute recording back and have it not sound like chipmunks?

Check the sample rate. It may have changed in the process.
Try dividing its value by two.

D'oh.

Thanks for the suggestion. It worked. I had not thought of adjusting the sampling rate, because I used the default record sampling rate that is set to 44100. Curious, why the temp files are 22050.

Anyways, thanks again for the solution.

.... or they might be mono rather than stereo... Regards,
