Merging Numerous Tracks & Keeping Same Volume Settings in Amadeus Pro

I have a question that I could not find the answer to in this Hairersoft Forum:
• When I use Amadeus Pro as a Multi-Track Audio Editor, and am ready to combine all the tracks into one Mixed Track, what is the best way to do that without losing the original volume settings for each Track? When I go into “Tracks” and Merge all the Tracks the Volume settings change and the Mix is lost from all the original settings.

The only way I’ve been defeating that issue, is by using another recording software and then recording the desktop audio of the AP file in its original Multi-Track state.

I've had the same problem, and use the same solution as you. However, when recording the multitrack file be sure to diminuate the playback volume, as it's likely to distort otherwise. And then, of course, Normalize the level in the resulting file.

All this might take a couple of extra steps than a more direct solution, but they're not hard ones and the results are very controllable.

Isn't the "Bounce Document" function in the "Sound" menu what you are looking for?

It looks like the "official" Amadeus Pro solution, according to Martin, is to "Bounce Document."

For Martin: How does Bounce Track work? I don't find mention of it in the manual, and the function is often greyed out.

Answering my own question: I see I had confused Bounce Track (Tracks menu) with the bounce Martin had actually recommended, Bounce Document (Sound menu). It does indeed look like the ideal solution to Mark's (and my) problem, although I haven't had a chance to listen to the resulting file yet.

For the record, it works! I've managed to finish my tracks in a much shorter time than expected, which is welcome, as working on them was a way to procrastinate on a market analysis for this property in Latvia, which I managed, surprisingly enough, to finish in time

I work frequently with files for which I use non-standard speeds in the Playback Controller. Is there a way to account for that when bouncing to a new document?

The playback controller really only affects playback. However, you can achieve the same effect by using the "Change Pitch and Speed" effect with the corresponding settings after you've bounced the document.

"Bounce" is a standard term from multitrack digital audio workstations and means mixdown of all existing non-destructive edits or effects.

• "Bounce Track" will destructively flatten all applied envelopes and real-time effects in place, creating a new wave form with envelopes and effects reset to default values.
• "Bounce Document" will flatten and mix down all envelopes real-time effects and all individual tracks in place to a simple stereo track.
• "Bounce Document To New File" will leave the existing file as is and open the flattened mixdown as a new untitled stereo file.
