Sound => Record to New Document

Post by tcstorm1 »

Hello,

Working on a big project audio wise and decided to finally upgrade to 2.8.2 from 1.x

I use the simple "Record to New File" tab to, well, record a new voice over on version 1 of Amadeus. Worked fantastic. I upgraded and when I to use the "Record to New Document" function--The recording window is there, but when I click the "Open Sound" button, nothing. As in the recording window disappears and there is no audio editing window to work with. nothing.

The record to new document window shows it's receiving input (the clock ticks up) I sent the proper input mechanisms. Checked security in preferences.

Is the old amadeus interfering maybe?

As of right now I reinstalled Amadeus 1 and everything is working fine.

oh wow, an update. 2.8.3 seems to have solved the recording to new document problem. Thanks.

For some reason, "Record to New Document…" doesn't listen to a custom keyboard shortcut via System Preferences.
Working around with Keyboard Maestro's "Select Menu Item" macro.

The old "Record to New File" did listen, although for some reason it couldn't hear certain characters like "$" which is a handy and elsewhere largely unused shortcut on Swiss keyboard layouts.
