Hi Martin and all:

I was delighted to see a new version of AP when I checked today, as I've just moved to a new i9 MBP so an updated and improved version was welcome.

Sadly, I'm having an issue that the new version seems to hang a few (random number of) seconds into starting my editing work. Loads the sound files just fine, but I can't get very far at all before the app becomes unresponsive with the Spinning Beachball of Doom. A force quit and relaunch works but the same hanging problem reoccurs.

Thankfully, the way the update was handled (simply putting the old version in the trash) allowed me to quickly replace the updated app with v2.6.2 and get back the stability I need for what I'm working on today (the Space Javelin tech-news podcast, available at spacejavelin.com if anyone cares to check it out), so the update didn't cause any serious delay. I look forward to a fix in the near future for v2.7 that will solve the stability issue.

Dear Chas,
I'm just reporting my experience, running the latest macOS Catalina. Amadeus doesn't offer the option of automatically generating an error report when force-quit and relaunched, but if there's anything I can do to help track down the problem please do let me know ... as soon as I've finished editing our massive CES roundup episode!
Could you please get it to hang, then open Activity Monitor, select Amadeus Pro there, choose “Sample Process� in the small “gearbox� menu and send me the report that this generates? Thank you very much in advance,

Version 2.7.1 is now available both on the App Store and on my website and fixes the freezing issue. It also fixes an issue of Catalina being over-zealous with security and refusing to run certain Audio Units… Regards,
