correctly, you are saying that the file under discussion does play
sound in A2? If that is true, it is very possible that the Type code
of the file has become damaged.
then it doesn't just contain the picture, but also the sound itself,
so that you can recompute the picture.
What should work to recover the sound, is:
- Open it in Amadeus II.
- Choose "Copy" in the "Edit" menu.
- Create a new document (File -> New).
- Choose "Paste".
- Save that document as AIFF or WAVE or any other sound format.
