I am new to Amadeus and my brief trial use today leads me to believe
that I have finally found a successor to SoundEdit 16 which I still
use on an older Mac G4 tower running OS 9.2. Two of the features in
SoundEdit that I used frequently were: (1) the ability to import CD
tracks from a disc inserted into the G3 drive and (2) to paste
multiple tracks into the same file with the ability to play all or
selected tracks simultaneously. I use this last feature a great deal
to compare versions of the same tune released on 78, 45, or other
formats.
Can any users of Amadeus II or Amadeus Pro confirm that (1) or (2)
are possible. My brief use of the trial version of Amadeus II does
not seem to offers these functions.
TIA,
Jim
P.S. I am running Amadeus on a 1.8 GHz Power PC G5 running OSX 10.5.2,

Importing CD Tracks
File -> Open works just fine on MacOS X.(1) the ability to import CD tracks from a disc inserted into the G3
drive
You would have to use Amadeus Pro for that. Just drag and drop the(2) to paste multiple tracks into the same file with the ability to
play all or selected tracks simultaneously. I use this last feature
a great deal to compare versions of the same tune released on 78,
45, or other formats.
tracks into the document.
