Bringing into new tracks

Post by zamboknee »

how do I open a sound file (mp3, wav, etc.) into a track of a session I'm editing?
Everytime I try to open a new file it does so in a new file. I don't want to open a new file I just want to open a new track in the multitrack that I'm trying to edit.
Thanks

As far as I know, you can't -- you open the file and then drag the track
into the file.

You can also drag the file into the open document. Regards,

Can you insert multiple sounds into one track and move them independently?

Moving them independently -like in the timeline of iMovie- is not yet possible.
Two methods remain: move fragments independently and intuitively in as much tracks as you need; each in their own track. Or place the fragments exactly within one track, with the "generate silence" command.
