With the old Amadeus II, one was able to control how the program handles
selection extensions to waveform crossings, via a preference setting under
Selection > Crossings. That panel allows both Up and Down to be turned
either on or off.

I found no similar option in Amadeus Pro, and the Extend to Crossing
function behaves in a way that I can't quite even follow, let alone control.
In short, it seems to overselect, going to a crossing somewhat further down
the road than to the next available one.

Is there any way at all to regain the kind of control that was previously
available? If not, can someone help me understand how the program decides
(in terms of both length of selection and of up/down factor) where to extend
to?

Many thanks for any help on this matter,
--Phil
