export to iTunes not splitting at markers
Hi, still working on my first file, in AP demo. I have created one large file (8:08:30), which has 18 markers. When I exported to iTunes, it brought in one large 8 hour file, rather than 1 album with 18 tracks. Shouldn't the export to iTunes have split the file according to my markers? What am I doing wrong?
AP 2.2.2 demo (downloaded from hairersoft.com last week);
MacPro Yosemite (10.10.5); iTunes 12.3.2.35

You need to Sound>Split According to Markers first, then import the split files. I think. cp

Ok, just tried that. It created a folder of separate .amad files. Those won't import into iTunes. Tried drag-dropping as well as opening them from within iTunes. Do I need to open all those files in AP and either save them as AAF files or export them individually to iTunes?
Part of the challenge is the size of this particular file. It's 10gb before splitting. So I think my file format choices are limited, right?
Thx for the help! Total newb here.

When you Split According to Markers, save them as mp3 (not .amad) or whatever format you want them to be in within iTunes. cp

Tell it to save the files as aif files -- assuming that the files are
small enough -- 2GByte is the limit for aif files. Or you can create a
batch process and convert all the files us amadeus.
