Reinstalled. Trashed preferences for both Amadeus and Finder.
Just started happening. Opening multiple MOV files to check audio (security cam). Program locks up and takes Finder with it. Been using AP for years with no problems. Have not had a program lock the system like this in years. Downloaded latest version with same result.
This is not a new workflow. I have been doing this without a hitch daily for a couple of years.
UPDATE 2012.04.17: Behavior duplicates on a MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo - OSX 10.6.8. The only change has been the new Java update from Apple on both systems.
UPDATE 2012.04.18: Reinstalled OSX 10.6 on iMac w/o Java update and issue is unresolved. As this is happening with a network connected security cam, I'm wondering if a network setting is to blame.
UPDATE 2012.04.20: All activity between server (PBG4 10.4) and clients created locking/crashing so troubleshooting was pointing to the server. A disk error was repaired on the server and so far resolved the issue. Additional testing in process.
UPDATE 2012.04.20: Testing complete. Issue resolved. Check startup disk/server with Disk Utility "Verify Disk". Error noted. Restart server Mac from DVD, run Disk Utility "Repair Disk" and restart.
