Getting an error when trying to reply the matrix reverb audi

Post by Martin Hairer »

Hi, I'm trying to put some reverb onto a track here, and when I try to apply it, I'm getting an error that says that this unit may not be able to handle tracks with two channels, try converting to mono. I do that to the track, and then try to apply the effect again, and I get an error that says the reverse, that it can't be applied to tracks with one channel, and to try converting to stereo. ANy help on this would be appreciated.
Could you tell us exactly what steps you are following and what the characteristics of your sound file are so I can try to reproduce this? Thanks,

Martin

Most reverb effects work only on stereo tracks. If your track is stereo, then make sure that you also have both channels selected. If only one channel is selected, it behaves as if the track was mono, since the effect would only be applied to the selected channel.

Ok, how do I select channels via the keyboard then?
Up and down arrows. Think of the left channel as being at the "top" and the right channel at the "bottom". So if the left channel is selected and you hit the down arrow, both channels will be selected. If you hit the down arrow again, only the right channel will be selected.

The only subtlety is that if you hit the up / down arrows while some sound is being played back, it will change the playback speed instead. Regards,

Martin
