Save Produced Corrupt File - Solid Purple Screen

Post by Reed »

AP 1.5.5
OS X 10.6.8
Intel Core 2 Duo

We recorded about an hour of audio and saved as mp3 and amad. The resulting files sounds like pink noise or digital clipping. When opened , you briefly see the waveform, but the screen immediately turns solid purple. Is there anyway this file can be recovered.

Which one has the problem: the mp3 or the amad file? Also, were they OK before you saved them? Finally, does the mp3 play fine with iTunes or QT Player?

Thanks for the response.

Unfortunately the original file was saved as an mp3 we also did a Save As to amad, but the result was the same. No version will play properly and sound exactly the same. All other files we recorded worked great. Not sure why this happened. Can we send you the file to see if there is anything that can be done?
