Edit Multiple Track Simultaneously

Post by OakParkMusicGuy »

I have a recording from a performance consisting of 19 tracks. There are about 10 songs all in one long track (each track is a different instrument).

I would like to split all the tracks into each song and save that as individual song files / amadeus format to make mixing and mastering easier.

Is this possible?

Thank you!

What about using the "Split according to markers" function?

Martin

Sarah,

For me it marks all of them so when I split it, it does exactly what I
want (admittedly, I just tried it with 2, so it is conceivable it does
something different with 19.

That should work but I found that that only marks the current track you are on.. This person would have to place 19 markers for each song I believe or that's what I've found.

As Chuck pointed out, markers are not assigned to specific tracks. Regards,

Martin

Any news on the bug (I consider it to be a bug) that markers are always placed in a position starting from the first track?

I mean this: Track 1 is 60 seconds long, Track 2 is 30 seconds long and starts 10 seconds after Track 1.

I select a point 20 seconds into Track 2 (which means 30 seconds into the entire audio), I create a marker - and it gets positioned 20 seconds into Track 1 (!) and 10 seconds into Track 2.

This is certainly not what anybody really wants, because the marker appears at a spot that is not selected in any way at all.

Yes, that's a bug, thanks for pointing it out. Hitting "m" to create the marker
will put it at the correct location though. Regards,

Just a note... the bug survived in the recent 1.5.5 - but thanks for the tip with the "m". I didn't try before because I thought the shortcut and the icon must trigger the same code anyway...
