1 minute recording saved to 12 hour MP3 ??? (1.5.4)

I've not had an opportunity to attempt to repeat this, but I'm wondering if this is a known bug. Here's what I did:

1) Started APro, clicked Record
2) Using internal mic, which 2 days prior I had adjusted in System Preference to turn off "Use Ambient Noise"
3) Started Record, and adjusted the level a few times
4) Recorded 1-2 minutes of piano music
5) Stopped
6) Selected and deleted some of the beginning
7) Selected and deleted some of the end
8) Save As ... MP3 (CBR, Quality 2, 128 kbps, Tags id3v2.2, 44.1 kHz)
9) Took well over an hour to encode
10) Ended up an a 730.9 MB file of 12 hours, 41 minutes, and 22 seconds in length
11) Opened the file, and the complete audio data is there, just played VERY SLOWLY (inaudible, it is so slow)
12) Resulting file is 16 bit, 44.1 kHz,
13) It looks like my waveform has a wavelength period of about 2 seconds !!!

I never heard of that, very strange.... Can you reproduce it, say after
rebooting your computer? Regards,
