Recovering Amadeus temp files

Post by jimijames »

I recorded an event using the timer feature. Later, when I went to listen to the file, the program crashed and 70 .amadeustemp files went to the trash on my Mac. Is there a way to recover the original recorded file? All of the the files are the same size (67.1 mb).

Thanks for the help.

Yes, you should be able to open them using the "Import Raw Data"
function from the File menu. Regards,

I've tried using that method on a few of the 70 files (all identical in size). One was pure static and the other was silent. Do I have to go through all of the files to find the one that has decent audio?

They all should have audio, but it looks like you've used the wrong
import settings. Make sure that the samples format matches your
computer (Intel or PowerPC) and use a header size of 0. Regards,

Martin
