Artwork in FLAC files

Post by Batmensch »

It seems that when I include artwork in FLAC files that I create with Amadeus Pro it causes some problems. Most programs can handle it; for instance, playing these FLAC files using PS3 Media Server on my PS3 works, but the artwork is ignored.

On my Android phone, however, an Amadeus-generated file with album artwork will crash the music program. If I remove the artwork the file will play. And artwork in FLAC files created by other music programs (such as MAX) will play and their artwork will display, on my Android phone and in the PS3 Media Server above.

OK, here's one that works. Generated by the program Max.

Hi, both files definitely appear to be legal. The only (very minor) difference
that I can see between the two artworks is that the Amadeus Pro generated
file includes a description (front cover), whereas the other one doesn't. I
strongly suspect that this is a bug in the player; the best is probably to report
it. Regards,

Martin
