I have wav files which are 8bit, 8k, -Law 2:1. However, when I open them, they show as 16bit, 8k, uncompressed. This makes editing them very difficult because there are too many steps required to change the settings back to 8bit, 8k, -Law 2:1 for each save.

Why is Amadeus Pro not keeping the original settings?

Could you send me one of those files so I can check it out? Regards,
