Hi,

I recently switched to mac os, and would like to replace Sound Forge that
was bundled with my sony recorder. One of the 'features' that
I'm using a lot is an extension to the WAV file, allowing file
size to be bigger than 2gb (up to 4 gb).
Note that this is non standard compliant since the WAV spec stores the
file size in a signed 32 bits number. A few audio editors on PC are able
to handle an unsigned 32 bits number, so the file could extend up to
4 gb. Since this is nonstandard, in Sound Forge you have to explicitly
set an option to be able to generate such files.

Does Amadeus adhere strictly to the WAV standard, or is it possible
to load and save WAV files bigger than 2gb ? In case that matters,
I'm using Snow Leopard.

It certainly doesn't allow you to *save* WAV files larger than 2GB. As far
as I remember, it does *open* them though; best to just test. Regards,
