Dear Martin H.,

do you think it might be possible to have audio effect panes act in a non-modal way, i.e., to allow users to keep them open even after applying the effect? For me, this would make experimenting with effects that much easier: Even with preview, sometimes the effect is not quite right - no problem, that's what undo is for. But - I then have to wade through the hierarchical menus again to find that very same AU / effect I just used, and that strikes me as being unneccessarily cumbersome.
