Song fades at end of each track HELP!!!

Post by msjacksonmusic »

I'm trying to split up a mix that I recorded in GarageBand into separate tracks that I can burn to a CD. I'm using Amadeus Pro version 1.4.3.

I've placed markers at the start of each song and I use "split according to markers" to export the files. When I import the files into iTunes every track fades at the end with 5 seconds left. I want the CD to be a gapless album. I've checked in the preferences and I can't find anything to change this.

Is there a different way that I should be splitting up the tracks? If not how do I get rid of the fades at the end of each file?

I appreciate any help.

Have you tried simply burning the CD from with Amadeus Pro?

Hey thanks so much for the reply that actually works which is great. I'd love to be able to spilt up the tracks though without having the songs fade. Is there a way to do this in Amadeus or am I going to have import the tracks from the CD?

AP doesn't fade the songs when you split (you can double-check that by
reopening the songs or by playing them in QuickTime player). However,
I didn't think that iTunes would either, so I am a bit at a loss to
explain what's going on there... Cheers,

I had a similar problem with a file made up from multiple tracks. It seemed the split from markers correctly went from the markers but only played one of the tracks (not the track above/below), so the track mix wasn't heard.
The way I got it to work was to export the markers, flatten to new file, import the markers into this file and then split according to markers.
