Problem upgrading to 1.5.2

Post by Martin Hairer »

Hi, the easiest thing is to delete the prefs:

Library/Preferences/com.HairerSoft.AmadeusPro.plist

This will destroy your settings though. The less invasive option is to double-click
that file and to just delete the line that starts with HSInstallNewApplicationLocation.
(This requires to have the developer's tools installed.) Regards,

Martin

Problem upgrading to 1.5.2

I had the exact same experience with the upgrade procedure some days ago.
Moved "com.HairerSoft.AmadeusPro.plist" outside the preferences and it worked.

Just followed your suggestion, fixed my old plist with Pref Setter and put it back in. And yes my old settings have reappeared.

This thing is bizarre, I still don't understand why the installation of the
upgrade failed for some people but not for others... Regards,

Martin

iMac 24" System 10.4.11, Old version may have been 1.4.5 but I'm not sure.

same problem

Post by voicecoop »

I had the same problem. I'm running OS 10.5.8 and tried to upgrade. Instead of overwriting the file, it simply wrote an entire new file leaving me with two copies of Amadeus Pro - the old 1.3.3 and the upgrade. I tossed 1.3.3 in the trash and started up the remaining Amadeus which was the 1.5.2 upgrade.
