LUFS in Amadeus Pro?

LUFS in Amadeus Pro?
Searching the Forum and the User's Manual, I find no reference to LUFS, that is, Loudness Units Full Scale. There are now LUFS standards in both the USA and in Europe. Does Amadeus Pro offer any support for this approach to adjusting loudness in a file? If not now, will we see LUFS features and support in the future?

Ian Shepherd posted a helpful video discussing LUFS vs. RMS, dBfs, etc  -Â

Short answer is that you can use the value for (AES music) RMS as an equivalent value for LUFS as a quick test, and there's a 1:1 correspondence between dBfs and LUFS. Â
RMS is available via Analyze > Waveform StatisticsÂ

If you need to meet A/85 (US) or R128 (EU) specifications a simple LUFS meter based on RMS is not satisfactory as the target value required by both require loudness across the entire program (with gating of low level material) as well as True Peak limiting to meet the spec. Average program level specifications can be met by measuring LUFS with a proper meter and adjusting overall program gain but you will need a True Peak meter/limiter to meet that part of the requirement.
RMS will not help as the A/85-R128 requirements require integrated loudness averaged across the entire program with the addition of program gating to prevent offset of measurement due to quiet scenes below a given threshold (i.e. low level program does not contribute to the measurement). There is an open source library (libebur128) that can make those measurements and if you look around you can find some simple tools (http://r128gain.sourceforge.net/) that use this, or you can use it inside of ffmpeg.
