I spent most of an evening trying to get 5.1 playback through a Thunderbolt-to-HDMI adaptor, using Amadeus 2.1.7, into an Audio/Video Receiver. This is a Late 2013 MacBook Pro 15", one of the last MacBook Pro models with an optical drive, running OS 10.8.5.
I started with a 6ch .WAV file created by a Tascam DR-680 recorder. I named the tracks "L", "R", "C", "LFE", "Ls", and "Rs". In the playback menu, I've assigned the tracks to "front left", "front right", "center", "center", "back left", and "back right". I couldn't find a way to assign one track to LFE.
Am I doing something else wrong? Should this work, or is this a limitation of Amadeus Pro?

So far as I am aware, there is no LFE. Shocked me too when I found this out.

Hi, could you give the version at
http://www.hairersoft.com/Downloads/AmadeusPro.zip
a try? This should support full 5.1 playback (and recording). Regards,
Martin
