Amadeus fails to run on OS X 10.9.5 / 10.10
In OS X 10.9.5 and 10.10, Apple enforced new requirements for codesigned applications and, unfortunately, the current build of Amadeus Pro / Lite falls foul of these requirements. Since Amadeus performs an integrity check at startup, this test now fails and Amadeus refuses to run with an error message stating that it "has been tampered with".
The versions available at
http://www.hairersoft.com/Downloads/AmadeusPro.zip (Amadeus Pro)
http://www.hairersoft.com/Downloads/AmadeusLite.zip (Amadeus Lite)
should fix this problem. They will be released as version 2.1.7 within the next couple of days. They have also been submitted to the App Store on September the 17th of and will be updated by Apple as soon as they are reviewed. If you are using the App Store version of Amadeus and need to use it now, please follow the instructions at
http://www.hairersoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2045
to transfer your registration from the App Store version to the version available at the above links.
Version 1.5 users can download the copy at
http://www.hairersoft.com/Downloads/AmadeusProOld.zip
which should also fix the problem.

Amadeus fails to run on OS X Yosemite
And if we are using the version of Amadeus Pro we purchased outside of the app store, we're good to go because the next update will fix afore mentioned issues right?
Just making sure.

Will this also apply to amadeus 1.5? I have found no need to upgrade in the 4 years I've had the software so have not. Or will this inforce an upgrade I really don't need at this point in time?

Hi Mr. Hairer!
I registered for this forum specifically to answer your question for you. I am running the second public beta version of Yosemite and was very distressed when my 1.5.5 copy claimed it was tampered with.
I am exceptionally pleased to report that the version of 1.5.5 you linked to does indeed work correctly now. I removed all traces of my previous edition, downloaded from your link above and re-entered my registration information. It now works again.
Because I'm very appreciative of the effort involved in supporting non-upgrading users, I will reconsider my position on upgrading and likely buy a copy for myself in the near future. Thank you very much for this generous gift.

Ah, shoot.
Well it worked for a while. Perfectly, I might add. For five days.
Tonight, though, I right-clicked on some files (made in AP 1.5.5 earlier in the evening) and asked it to open them in AP and it went back to asking me for the registration, then claimed the app had been tampered with. Possibly my method of opening AP caused the relapse, I wouldn't know, but now its back to being non-functional.
I'm going to again download the AP build you linked to, remove the AP 1.5.5 I have, and reinstall it. Hopefully it will work correctly again this time. Will keep you posted (and thanks again for the effort made!).

Ok. I just read the post at

except I'm running 1.5x so I don't really know what to do here. Any advice?
Take care.

_______________________________________________Quick update: yes, that worked, and I didn't even have to re-enter the license info -- the License Manager saw it correctly. I guess I just need to open AP directly from the program icon rather than by way of the contextual menu. But I thought you'd like to know about this.

The replies to the thread seem to address your question.Ok. I just read the post at

All preferences gone.
I lost use of my App Store version of Amadeus Pro today after softare-updating to 10.9.5 this morning. Then I discover this thread after the event.
I carried out the instructions at the top of this thread and now have two versions of Amadeus Pro in my Applications folder.
The one that opens is "Amadeus Pro". Am I supposed to keep the other one now labeled "Amadeus Pro (MAS)" or can it be trashed?
Also, I have lost ALL my preferences, including custom color schemes, tool layout and other settings! Can these be transferred to the updated version?
And what happens when the App Store gets an updated version? Do I then download it, or do I now have to stick with updates via Hairersoft because the registration has been transferred? Will I still get an update notification from the App Store and, if I download via the App Store, will I still have two versions (or three?) showing in my Applications folder? And will I get my original preferences back in the subsequent App Store update?
Confused.
I think registered users should receive an e-mail warning about a KNOWN issue when it is of a scale that disables the application completely after a simple software update.

Update works
I also use 1.5.5 and the update linked to this discussion opened perfectly, found the license code with no problem. I have not tried to use it to edit a file yet. If problems crop up I will let you know.
Thank you for keeping this older version working!

I downloaded AmadeusProOld because like everyone else Amadeus stopped working for me on OSX 10.9.5. I have a license key from 2008 in my emails and another from 2011. When I try to put either in to register another box pops up saying the license key only works in conjunction with an Amadues II license key also. I'm not sure what that is or where. I've tried all combinations of entering the 2 license keys I have but it won't except them for some reason. I use Amadeus almost everyday so it is important that I get this up and running soon. Thanks, Steve
I followed Martin's instructions and downloaded the 2.1.7 version he said to and it worked upon first opening.
But now it's asking for my registration again and denying me features that are only available after registration ('Save Selection As.', etc.).
I'm an audio professional and this is very annoying. Hopefully a fix is in the works soon
