happened. I was asked if I wanted to import. At present iMac thinks I
have inserted a blank disc. For two homemade discs burned by somebody
else, I insert and get message "The disc you inserted was not readable
by this computer."
No update. Don't like iTunes 11 and am sticking with 10. No iTunesHave you updated or changed iTunes recently?
changes that I recall.
No changes. Finder pref is still set to show CDs & DVDs on desktop,Changed finder preferences?
which does not happen now with Amadeus-burned CDs. iMac does not spit
discs out; it just ignores them.
They opened in iTunes and I played them in iTunes. When you played CD's in the past, did you play them with iTunes,
Quicktime, or something else?
I use Toast Titanium a lot. It does not recognized Amadeus-burned CDs
as it used to (for disc copy purposes, for example). Toast continues
to recognize commercial CDs.
Amadeus-burned CDs are recognized and play just fine on wife's iMac.
I have used two different lens-cleaner discs.
Most online commentary I have seen is by people who burn CDs and then
the CDs won't play in car or CD player. Mine play in car with no
problems.
Thx for help on what does not seem to be an Amadeus problem. My guess
is that my CD/DVD drive is going bad.
