Playback multiple tracks at the same time??

Post by dr_benway »

Just a quick question...

I've been using Amadeus for while now, mostly as a stereo editor (I'm using version 1.5.5 (1202)

Anyway, today I needed to add an extra sound to the start of a file and crossfade them together... I added a new track to the document - However, If I hit play I can only hear the currently selected track..

How can I playback multiple tracks at the same time?

Do I need to manually 'select all tracks' or something? If so, how do I do this?

I've searched the forum and the manual for an answer to this but with no luck... I have a feeling I'm stupidly overlooking something blindingly obvious!..

Thanks!

There seems to be a glitch as far as I can tell; just try selecting
everything a second time and it works (I am being vague here because I
haven't done it in several months, but a little poking lets it play all
tracks.)

Playback multiple tracks at the same time??

Post by Martin Hairer »

If you start playback in the "normal" way by hitting the spacebar or by clicking the "play" button, it should play all tracks. If you double-click into one specific track to start playback, it will only play that track. Regards,

Martin

I cannot play ALL track with the above solution.

When I play using the spacebar it starts to play from the beginning of the track. If I double click it will play from where I clicked but it only plays the track I clicked.

I need to be able to hear all tracks from any location on the tracks.

Hi,
Spacekey works for playing all tracks. But how can I select/group multiple tracks? Cmd, Alt, Shift or combinations plus click don't work. Currently I combine the tracks after normalizing and then cut.
thx, Michael

The space key worked for me. Thanks.
