Hi Josh-

This is just one user's reaction, and I'm not affiliated with Martin.

I'm often baffled by the usefulness of social media.

In addition to writing directly to Martin (who for years has answered very expeditiously), and the use of this forum where Martin posts periodically, what would Twitter offer?

I may be misunderstanding you, but evidently AP's lack of social media presence discourages you from recommending it to others. If that's so, I'd like to know why. (And it is worth recommending!)

I'm one of the very small minority who doesn't quite "get" social media. My remarks are not criticism, more of an attempt at self education!

I do follow the Twitter feeds of several software developers, and a few people who offer professional services, but the feeds are mostly full of travel plans and personal musings on the topics du jour, having nothing to do with the expertise or the services and products the writer offers.

You brought up a good topic and I'll be interested to hear from you, Martin, and others. Your remarks may help me better represent myself in all that I do.

I am interested in your remarks, and like you, I am interested in Martin's take on the issue, as well as others.
I suppose that it's mainly a matter of taste. I personally believe that the user's forum provides a more useful and efficient means of interaction with users than a Facebook account would. This has also been working pretty well so far, so I am rather reluctant to fix something that isn't broken…

This being said, I do have a (not very active) Facebook account and you are welcome to contact me through that:

Regards,

Martin

I can understand the 'not broken - don't fix' approach, but what I was rather referring to was a facebook page for people to 'like' and express their admiration for the app, rather than a forum or contact replacement. Obviously it's not necessary, but for a lot of users it seems the first go-to place as a spot for expressing their love for an app.

Good point, thanks a lot for the suggestion. I suppose I never thought about creating such a page since I didn't grow up with Facebook ;-) This oversight is now repaired, the offical "Amadeus Pro" product page on Facebook is

https://www.facebook.com/hairersoft.amadeuspro

Please "like" it ;-) Cheers,

Martin

Done… and shared. I see you've already got a bad-joke comment on there too! :D

Thanks for listening.
