Recorded in stereo-burns only mono
Hi, I recorded an old vinyl record in Stereo, but it burns a CD in mono. Have made sure the files are in 44.1? mh, 16 bits. Where is my problem?

What steps did you perform to ensure that the recording is indeed in stereo and what makes you think that the CD is mono? (CD's cannot *actually* be mono, but it could be that it has the same content on both channels…) Regards,
Martin

1. I recorded from a 33 1/3 Stereo record and the recorded 2 tracks look different from each other on Amadeus Pro. 2. The source record plays right and left channels when the player is set to "Stereo". Played through the same player, the CD plays no right speaker and when set to Mono, the same sound comes from both speakers. Thank you for your help, B.P.

Possible… Have you tried burning it using iTunes instead? Is it possible that the burner, LG Super Multi 24X is not compatible with the iMac Mountain Lion OS, eve though the CDs are burned and then play only in Mono?
Regards,
Martin
