Can't use files restored from raw data

Post by mudhen »

After a crash, I restored the temporary files using the import raw data function successfully. Although most of them seemed to be perfect copies of chunks of the original, some were jumbles of short repetitions of it. I hoped that those were the edits I had done. I put notes in the titles of each and saved the transformed files to a new folder to work on the next day.

When I opened the saved files the next day, the notice that Amadeus Pro cannot read temporary files reappeared. When I tried to import them as raw data the second time, the wave form was nearly solid blue and the sound a loud buzz.

How can I convince AP that the temporary files have already been converted? I am using version 1.5.5 and Snow Leopard.

Thanks for your help.

Not sure what you actually mean by that… Could you send me a link to one of
these "converted" files that your version of Amadeus Pro refuses to open?
Regards,

Martin

Thank you for looking at my file. Changing the extensions to .aiff to match the format in which they were saved worked perfectly.
