Setting zoom level

Post by Bryan Mumford »

I need to compare time scales in many different files. I need to set the zoom level of each file to the same scale. But when I set Option-1 to a scale, it doesn't apply to a new file I open. And, I can't find a way to specify an exact numerical scale, like "3200" that shows up when I drag the slider. I'm using AP 1.5.5.

I see now that scale is relative to the file size. How can I compare two sound files of different length at the same display resolution? I need to see how an event shifts forward and back relative to a reference point.

Once you have set a scale, with say option-1, you can apply that to an open file by simply
typing 1. Regards,

Martin

That's no good for me. I need to compare two files of different sizes at the same samples per inch. I don't want the big file and little file to each show the same 50% scale, I need them to both show the same number of samples per inch on the screen, so I can compare wave shapes in files of different lengths.

That's exactly what will happen. Regards,

Sorry, I found the problem. Wire Tap Studio, which is creating the files, had switched settings and began saving files at a different sample rate.

Sorry to bother you.

That makes sense… Regards,
