FLAC->MP3 losing tags?

Post by OakParkMusicGuy »

I tried to convert tagged FLAC files to MP3 in a batch conversion but all tagging info was stripped... Is this how it is supposed to work?

Thanks!

No, it should keep the tags unless you explicitly tell it to strip them. Do the tags show up correctly if you just open the FLAC files and type command-I ? Regards,

Martin

No the tags weren't showing up in Amadeus... Weird because they worked in other audio programs...I ended up using a program called XLD which worked fine but it seems that Amadeus should have done it.

Could you send me a sample so I can see what's going on? In principle, FLAC tags do show up, but it's possible that these files encode the tags in a different, slightly non-standard way… Thanks,

Martin
