Amadeus Pro 2.0.2

Post by Martin Hairer »

Dear all, just a quick note to announce that I have just updated AP to
version 2.0.2. (The Mac App Store version is "Waiting For Review" and
will be released as soon as it passes Apple's reviewing process....)

Besides a bunch of bugfixes (the most serious one could lead certain
Audio Units to crash the program), I added two "advanced preferences"
following requests on the forum. The first one allows to turn off the zooming
with the scrollwheel. However, even if it is turned off, one can still zoom
by hitting [Command] and using the scrollwheel.

The second advanced preference allows to turn off the "drag and drop"
support for sounds. Indeed, some users prefer the old behaviour whereby
clicking into a selected piece of sound simply resets the selection. Regards,

Martin

Dear all,
after upgrading to amadeus pro 2.0.1 i experienced the problem with trying to update via the update-function: I received a popup-message saying " Fehler Versionsinformationsdatei beschaedigt" meaning in English that the version-information-file is corrupted. After overwriting the Amadeus Pro.app via Time-Machine-Backup-Image down to Version 1. .... the Version 1 realised that a new Version is available and initiated Downloading of the actual version.

It seems to me that this is a bug concerning the newer app. - will there be an improvement ?

Thanks a lot in advance ! 8)

I also had issues when trying to update: the first time, I opted for an immediate update, which downloaded some data but didn't update anything; the 2nd time, I selected "update when quitting", which (again) didn't update the application; the 3rd time around, I selected an immediate update again, and was told that the update was already downloaded...

yet the 4th time I lauched the application, it had been updated to 2.0.2: go figure!

Dear rockbottom,
thank You for Your statement.
I had the same issues while i tried -as alternative to my former posted problem- to do a update from 2.0.1. to 2.0.2 from the separate downloaded (directly from the website) dmg-file. At the end it worked that way.
BUT that's not the point - I always receive the failure message as describe before while trying to find an update via the program-integrated update-workflow. Once again: The update-workflow seems to work with the last version of Amadeus Pro 1... NOT with my actual installed version 2.0.2.
 .

Yes, there seems to be a problem with the update mechanism in version 2.0.
The symptom is that if it downloads an update and you click on "install now",
then it will quit Amadeus Pro, but the update will not be installed.

If however you then reopen the program and open the preferences dialog, it
will tell you that a new version is ready to be installed. If you click on "install now"
at that stage, the install should work fine. The next version will fix this. Actually,
the version at <http://www.hairersoft.com/Downloads/AmadeusPro.zip> already
implements the fix. Regards,

Martin
