Feature request: waveform enhancement

Right now waveform is +/- peak per block. Maybe it`s possible to add +/- RMS per block as a second level? From the one side it`s simple to calculate and from the other some times is quite useful (for example multiple channels mastering with different compression level)

I`ve made audio player for my project with similar feature:

6 month later: The only thing i ask to add at least rms. Or tell that would not do.

While this would be a great feature, I actually miss one thing much more: There should be an option to visibly apply the gain/envelope adjustments. The envelope is a great and mighty tool, but without any visual feedback (when moving points) you are mostly blind-folded and forced to do a quite time-consuming trial-move-listen-and-error cycle...
