Error when saving as MP3 file
I just downloaded the update. I tried to save an amad file to a MP3, which I have done often in the past but I get a Lame error message. Unfortunately the error message does not appear in the pop up window so I can't share it with you. Could this be a problem related to the upgrade or is it something else? I would appreciate any ideas you have to fix the problem.
Having the exact same error. I've tried saving a copy as and flattening the file beforehand and the same result. A LAME error with no actual specification of what the error is. I just installed 1.4.4 (643) yesterday.
Would really like to get this resolved as I have a podcast that is supposed to be out by the end of the day.
Any workarounds?

I too am getting a LAME error message with no detail when trying to save as an mp3. It doesn't matter what settings are used. I am still using OS 10.4.11 and in another topic I see that there maybe some problem with the LAME library used in Amadeus Pro ver. 1.4.4 build 636 not working in Tiger systems.
Is there anyway I can get an earlier version that did work? Is a fix forthcoming for this version?

Hello Martin and everyone. I absolutely love Amadeus Pro though I'm experiencing an error as well regarding MP3's. Here's the message I received:
LAME returned the following error: /Applications/Amadeus Pro.app/Contents/PlugIns/Mp3 Support.bundle/Contents/Resources/lame: excess arg Space
I'm running 10.4.11 on a Quad G5 PPC and I'm running the latest version of Amadeus Pro Version 1.4.5 (683) any help would be much appreciated.
Thank You

MP3 Support
Nothing out of the ordinary. I didn't do anything behind the scenes. I just noticed this error a couple of weeks ago.

Try deleting your preferences file (or at least removing it from Library/Preferences to test) to see if that helps. The file is called com.HairerSoft.AmadeusPro.plist. Regards,

Re: MP3 Support
Since Amadeus Pro ver. 1.4.5 build 688 was only released a few days ago, your comment suggests you are using ver. 1.4.4 where the mp3 conflict is well known. The latest version 1.4.5 has corrected the problem for me running Tiger on an early Intel iMac. Try downloading the latest version and testing it again.Clifton Cameron wrote:Nothing out of the ordinary. I didn't do anything behind the scenes. I just noticed this error a couple of weeks ago.

Thank You
Martin, I deleted the preferences, reinstalled the latest build and everything is back to normal. MP3 export is back on track. Thank You very much. Friscofrog, Thank You as well. Amadeus Pro makes for an excellent sound design tool among many other things, it's a rare treat indeed.
