recording from computer...

Post by musicbym »

I am trying to play a music file on my mac and record it. If I use the microphone option the sound is poor and room noise is included.

If I use the line option there is no signal. Am I missing something obvious? Thanks...

I guess I have to ask why? If you have a music file, why do you want to
record it? Audio Hijack and I think "Jack" will do it.

For example, in Rip, Edit, Burn, software for windows, I can play a file on Rhapsody for example, and record it, edit it, and create an mp3...

I use Soundflower (www.soundflower.com) and it works quite well for me.
