Post by solefald »

i tried to save sound with couple of envelopes attached as an mp3 and it ended up being bunch of high pitch noise... i got a warning that it may alter my sound, but i did not expect it to alter it THAT much haha.

This is certainly not normal... Sounds like a problem withe sampling
rate. Can you reproduce the problem? If yes, what exact Mp3 settings
are you using and what is the sampling rate of the original sound?
Thanks,

Martin

sorry, totally spaced out that i even posted a question here :)

i can reproduce the problem every time, but tell me this,
do i have to actually do "Apply Envelope to Track" first and then export?

If i just set the envelope and then select Save As,

320k CBR mp3, 44.1kHz, Joint Stereo

I get a pop-up message saying:

Saving the document in the selected format may result in the loss / alteration of some features as described below. Do you wish to proceed nevertheless?

The volume envelope will be applied to the sound.

This completely changes the waveform of the track and makes it terribly distorted.

I am attaching a screenshot of a final result .mp3. The original waveform was nowhere hear what you see on the screenshot.
