Copy and Pasting: Why a Progress Bar?

Post by bdkennedy1 »

First I want to say this is a terrific program and I was very disappointed I couldn't use it.

Allow me to add the one quirk that killed my decision to use this program.

Copy a minute of audio to the clipboard and sit there and watch the progress bar go to work (and I'm using the newest, fastest iMac available with 4GB of RAM). Paste that audio into something and again watch the progress bar update. I got so annoyed after a few hours of using it that I went back to using Sound Studio.

Sound Studio's copy and pasting are instantaneous and I never see a progress bar.

Copying one minute of sound should be instantaneous. Which version of
Amadeus was that?

Well, I have to apologize. I can't get it to happen now with the latest version. Copy/Cut & Pasting is instant just like you said.

I know I'm not crazy though because someone else agreed with me.

So I don't mind if you delete this thread :)
