A friend recommended Amadeus Pro to me a few years back and I've been very happy with it, but I just found something I think is wrong:
The software allows you to choose input and output devices, and that’s a fine pro user option, BUT it fails to list the default input and output devices, so you can’t say “I want whatever output/input device is globally configured”.
The default input and output devices are not devices as such but are rather references to which devices will be used by all audio apps unless otherwise configured.
Amadeus Pro has modelled its UI for choosing which devices to do I/O from/to on the Sound control panel, which is a UI for setting the default devices, so I have a pro app that can’t do something less configurable apps can:
use the default input/output devices.
Please unbreak this important piece of macOS audio indirection!
Thanks,
Gordon.
