Amadeus Pro doesn't recognize my installed Ozone 8 AU

Post by tvosbein »

I just upgraded to the latest version of Amadeus Pro from the MacAppStore on my MacBook Pro.

I tried to run Izotope Ozone 8 (as well as other Izotope plug-ins), which is registered and works perfectly as an Audio Unit in all of my other software on this computer, and I am asked to register the program [Ozone] by inserting the SN.

I have already used my allotment of installations, one of which is on this very computer.

I tried opening it in 64 bit mode, and just to see if that changed anything, in 32-bit mode. No difference. I am running the latest OS and everything is up to date.

Does anyone have any ideas why Amadeus Pro would case this anomaly?

Any solutions short of getting Izotope to release one of my installations?

Thanks!!!

Not sure if that would solve it, but could you try running the website version available at

http://s3.amazonaws.com/AmadeusPro2/AmadeusPro.zip

rather than the App Store version? It's possible that this would fix it. Best,

Martin

That solved it, although it doesn't explain why it doesn't work with the App Store version. Thanks for the quick response and solution.

Thanks for the quick response and solution.
Apple forces all applications in the App Store to be "sandboxed" which effectively cuts them
off the rest of the operating system and tends to not play nicely with third-part extensions.
Best,
