question regarding LUFS standard
Just wondering when we who use Amadeus Pro will finally be able to normalize according to LUFS standard. Of course, I am well aware that the LUFS standard is actually a veriant of MRS which is actually K weighted but it would be really nice if we could normalize directly to LUFS. Thanks.

Re: question regarding LUFS standard
Within Amadeus, probably best done with a plugin from a handful of developers, a search should bring up several. For example, Nugen offers MasterCheck, and you can demo it. I haven't used it, the function is included in another software suite I use.Raymond Foret Jr wrote:Just wondering when we who use Amadeus Pro will finally be able to normalize according to LUFS standard.

Sure, but, what I wanted was a way to normalize according to LUFS standard inside the normalization window. That would provide a third radio button. The first would be Peek levels like it is now. The second would be RMS like it is now and the third would be LUFS. Martin, is this not possible? Or, am I perhaps misunderstanding how LUFS actually works?

I agree that a loudness feature in Amadeus Pro would be nice, but loudness controls aren't quite the same thing as normalization, as you originally state. A separate control system from the normalization features would most likely be necessary.
As far as third party plugins, I've had the most luck with Avid's Pro Limiter, Waves' WLM Plus, and iZotope's Loudness module from RX 6, for whatever it's worth.
