Just had a quick look on the site of the developer. True Audio Codec looks good - and it's fully open source. The author promise that en- and decoding is in realtime. So maybe, Martin will give it a try? Best Jan Would someone (not directed at Jan!) explain exactly what this codec offers that exist...

Re: Burned CD won't play

Actually, I strongly suspect is the reflection properties commercial CDs read fine the burned CDs play in other machines thus the software on the computer reads a CD and can play it and the CDs are playable. I had to put an external CD drive on my wife's computer when her internal unit stopped read...

Hello_ Somehow your initial problem and my questions have been spread over several posts, so I hope you read here and will begin from before: Got your preferences and history. Now, to reiterate: 1. Your currently recorded Amadeus discs-***do they verify when burned?*** 2. Your current ones do not pl...

VLC is a product I've heard about but never investigated. It still operates on the streaming paradigm, though, doesn't it, at least for recording/extracting? 'Still looks like a very useful product and one I'll probably add to my toolbox. One of those things where when you need it, you really need it!

No, it will not "import" the audio. This is a very lengthy and complex process, not matter what software you use. It is entirely outside the function of audio editors. Again, we are talking about "real" DVD's, not something where someone has placed "movie" files. If you...

Good to see you're on your way.

Use the best quality AAC options in Piezo, unless you really need MP3. Too bad they don't offer lossless, but that would defeat the whole ethos of the application.

Have fun! And thank yourself for not doing it the difficult way!

Assuming what you have is a "real" DVD and not something from a video cam or movie file stored on a disc: No, you can't *import* the audio with AP, nor any other audio editor. Importing from a DVD can be a very long, very complex and multi-step process - see, for example p. 91 from Sept 20...

Try this

Menue->Sound->Show Sound Info

Martin-
Some people (myself, mostly!) might expect this in the Analyze portion of the menue. What do you think?
