Amadeus Pro does include some noise reduction, but for the best results (short of spending thousands on CEDAR) you could consider purchasing DeNoise: http://www.clickrepair.net/software_download/denoise.html It's $40; I've used it extensively (I also had a hand in testing it) and had excellent resul...

You can use an AppleScript to convert a plain text file to an AIFF recording: please see this page -

How are you adding them? I find that if I drag a new clip in on top of an existing recording it makes a new track with the clip at the beginning. Where the insertion point is would be more helpful, but you can easily slide the clip to anywhere you want in its track. AFAIK you can't get more than one...

Un long enregistrement prendrait normalement environ 2 minutes pour s'ouvrir. La barre de progrès devrait afficher pendant ce temps. Cependant, si l'enregistrement joue correctement, il n'y a probablement aucun besoin de s'inquiéter. (Traduction automatique.)

Topic: Files burn to CD in .aiff format, not as .mp3

Just prepare the audio the way you did before, put in the markers, and burn. Don't do the mp3 conversion, all this is doing is degrading the quality. Amadeus opens them back into uncompressed format and burns from there, so you aren't gaining anything and you are losing some information. MP3 files a...

Amadeus burns audio CDs; what you want is a data CD. You will have to burn that using the Finder. Export your MP3 files to a folder on your Mac and ensure that they are exactly as you want them. Insert a blank CD - it will appear on the Desktop; drag the MP3 files to it. You can rename the icon just...

Topic: Vinyl LPs - Wavering Pitch
Replies: 7

I'm guessing that the pitch changes--wow--are caused by variations in the speed of the stylus traveling through the groove as a result of the record being off-center. Essentially like the result of playing an LP at 38rpm or 28rpm. Is that correct? Yes: the linear speed of the groove under the stylu...

I'm afraid the best solution is resolutely old-school - I doubt it would be practicable to do it electronically. Put the record on a turntable and as it turns note how the grooves swing towards the centre and out again. Note where the record is positioned when the grooves are furthest away from the ...

The suggestions for reconstructing frequencies above the cutoff frequency simply amount to introducing substantial amounts of second harmonic distortion. Remember that with a single note, the tone colour is carried by the relative levels of harmonics above it in progression - if the note is C, then ...

Amadeus II should work OK on an Intel Mac using Rosetta: but if you are trying to use it with plugins which are Intel versions this won't work: a program and the plugins have to be all PPC or all Intel. In the same way Amadeus Pro can't use PPC plugins.

This is a way of automating voiceovers, though it may not produce very tidy results, and you would need to experiment - I should try it first with a short length of music and one short voiceover - the details below are a starting point. Record the music track. Normalize it to -11dB. Record the voice...

Re: New to Mac & Amadeus -- Need Manual

Basic Question: Can I get an AP user manual, please? http://s3.amazonaws.com/AmadeusProManual/v1.4/manual.pdf Control-click the link to download rather than display the manual (1.5MB). 1) Is that assessment correct? Yes; APro is much better than Audacity. 2) Can I use AP to mix multiple songs into ...
