Pitch correction plugins?

Hi Dan If Amadeus' "Change Pitch and Speed" can't do it, I know only of Melodyne. But Melodyne has a very visual interface and a solid price-tag. Found a podcast discussing the subject of pitch correction: http://jayshaffer.com/mag/podcast/podcast048.mp3 Gerard Hi all, looking for a plugin...

Best way to increase volume

This setup should work fine except for step 3. Increase volume with 50% is probably too much. The normalize function is what you need. Try normalizing to 98% maximal sample value. This cannot produce clipping. The Levelator should have given you a consisten level already. Try Jim's suggestions also,...

Simulating a loss of power on a record player

I have seen/heard a plug in once that did something like that. Sorry, too long ago for my memory to get the facts back. Maybe a search for vinyl or tape simulation plug-ins will help. Gerard Hi, Here's what I am trying to do. Have a song sound like the power is being cut to the record player. Pitch ...

Problem upgrading to 1.5.2

iMac 24" System 10.4.11, Old version may have been 1.4.5 but I'm not sure. Gerard This thing is bizarre, I still don't understand why the installation of the upgrade failed for some people but not for others... Regards, Martin HairerSoft http://www.hairersoft.com/ ______________________________...

Problem upgrading to 1.5.2

I had the exact same experience with the upgrade procedure some days ago. Moved "com.HairerSoft.AmadeusPro.plist" outside the preferences and it worked. Just followed your suggestion, fixed my old plist with Pref Setter and put it back in. And yes my old settings have reappeared. Gerard Hi...

Navigation in Amadeus pro

Just because there are many possibilities, you can set the behaviour you like in the General tab of Preferences. The trick is to use space and tab and double-click for different situations. More on this in the Manual e.g. at page 31. Hi, I find navigating in Amadeus pro rather complicated. It jumps ...

To adjust only the left or right channel, select the channel and use Effects>Amplify. Hi Phil You could convert each track to stereo and adjust left and right channel volumes. Very precise, be it not very intuitive. Audio Cassette to AmadeusPro to iTunes

My workflow may be outdated, but I use "Sound>Split According to Markers" to generate a folder with separate songs. These I drag into iTunes. Gerard Maybe I missed it in the FAQs, in 15 of the 38 pages of the Forum or in the downloaded and printed Manual, but, after downloading the cassett...

78 RPM recorded @45 RPM restoring w/Speed-Pitch Change

It should be. The calculation is ok. I remember some discussions about recording 78's in the past. Maybe you could search the forum. Gerard I have no 78 RPM turntable so am recording the record to Amadeus Pro at 45 RPM and attempting to change the pitch/speed in A-Pro. I've arrived at 175% as the ap...

Hi Phill The volume envelope is an ideal solution for this. Just pull down the blue line. See page 8 and 9 of the manual. Gerard Hi, I'm working on formatting some songs to play under a slide show I'll be giving. I want the songs to begin at full volume, but at a certain point fade gradually to a mu...
