LAME error trying to "Save as"
When you go to "Save As", you get the regular menu to rename and save the file. If you have chosen mp3, there will be a "Settings" button to the right. Click on that and select a different ID tag set. I use ID3v2.3 which supports at least 6 digit numbers. Hope that helps, - J -- ...

Best way to increase volume
I'm not familiar with Levelator, but by itself, "Normalize" brings the maximum level to a set output (i.e. -2 db). So, the driving factor on the output level will be whether you have a spike of sound keeping the overall level relatively low. If someone says "WOW!" at -2db, but th...

Navigation in Amadeus pro
If you are just doing basic playback, the main trick which will help is to learn the <shift><Apple>Y keystroke. This jumps the "Play" pointer (green bar) at the Insertion point - so if you are doing minor edits, you can immediately hear the results. Also, simply double clicking causes the ...

Starting off "NEW SOUND..." with MONO TRACK set as
I'd asked that earlier, but never got a response. Once you "add a new mono track" all subsequent tracks will add as mono tracks (until you go back to adding stereo tracks). I just set up a keyboard equivalent for "add a new mono track" and "delete track". So when I crea...

markers disappear when zooming after 1.5.1
I'm running 10.4.11 on a PPC mac, and when I upgraded to the new version this morning (just back from vacation and didn't read the forum chatter before upgrading), my markers won't show when zoomed in. Even better, they also seem to be "tenacious" and won't go away when I either drag them ...

Default Startup Settings
Hi - I've been using Amadeus Pro for about a week now, and have been very impressed with it's stability and ease of use. After poking around the manuals and the forums, I've been unable to find the answer to this question: Is there a way to change the default startup settings? Specifically, I'd like...
