Re: Marker number
The name of a marker is based on the name of the marker that immediately precedes it. It tries to find a number in the name and, if found, increments it by one. If the behaviour you experience doesn't match this, could you describe precisely what are the names given by Amadeus and the names of the m...

Re: Joining multiple files and related questions
1. No, the batch processor doesn't have any "join files" (or related) functionality. A. Thanks for pointing that out. B. The files can be rearranged using drag & drop. I am not sure if this can be accessed via VoiceOver, but would have thought so? C. Yes, the "Join" button wi...

Have you tried dragging the files from your Audio CD to a folder on your internal drive and then open them from there?

Re: Help with accessing Amadeus Pro on new laptop
Hi, just download it from the website and enter your license when prompted. If you purchased it on the App Store, then you should instead reinstall it from there.

Re: 32-bit float and dither?
A 32-bit float does only have 24 bit of precision for values between -1 and 1 (the rest is for storing the exponent, which would be 0 in this case), so the answer is that it is truncated, if you will, but that this does not actually result in any meaningful information loss. When saving to 16 bit, t...

Re: No track names on burned CD
Does your CD player actually support CD-TEXT or are you talking about the Finder? As far as I know, the Finder doesn't actually read the CD-TEXT data (I never understood why).

Re: How to reduce the S sound from voice?
Hi Richard, you'l want to look for a de-esser. There are many of them available online as Audio Units, some free, some commercial. A huge collection of free Audio Units can be downloaded at https://www.airwindows.com/wp-content/uploads/SignedMacAUs.dmg and this does include a de-esser (called DeEss).

Re: Convert .m4a files with lower bit depth
Hi, you can add an "Action" to your batch processor which converts the sound to 44.1kHz before saving. (Click on the "+" icon and select "Sound Quality -> Change Quality".)

Re: Blank spectrum window
It seems that for some bizarre reason the default color got set to "white". This can be changed by clicking on the "gear wheel" in the spectrum window. No idea why this happened, I'll make sure to revert it to something reasonable in the next upgrade.
