Automatic Marker function....

When I add a few markers in the same file and there is a number 'a' in one of them, the subsequent marker will have a number of 'a+1' etc..

This may be fine for certain music formats, but not for all. Can I toggle this function to off when required?

Amadeus blocking disks?

With version 2.2.2 I cannot eject disks (even though I didn't use them with Amadeus) as long as Amadeus is active. It says "The disk XX couldn't be ejected because Amadeu Pro is using it."

That's on Capitan. Any solution to this?

Thanks

Split according to markers: Undesired change of sample rate

When I have 24*96KHz aif recordings and split them according to markers as m4a, Apple Lossless, 24bit, the saved file is a 24*48KHz format. Only when I click on the lower left "bit depth and sample rate" indicator, and confirm 24*96, the saved file is 24*96.

Strange.

Splicing files

From time to time, when digitizing vinyl, I need to splice two files to make one out of them. I remember that earlier versions allowed cutting and deleting selections to the last micro-second. Now this doesn't work anymore as there is always a 3 to 4 micro-second in or out-fade(?). Is there a possib...

Sorry for insisting as the problem continues: I should have written the recoding "mutes" to zero input for a second or so when there is some computer related activity such as waking up the screen, plugging or unplugging power cables etc during recording sessions. There are also electronic ...

Recording stops on OS activities (MBA, OS 10.8.2)

There is a reproducible problem when recording and the computer engages in some housekeeping work: I have a MacBook Air 2012 with mountain lion OS 10.8.2. While recording with Amadeus Pro v. 2.1 on battery power and I connect the power cable during the recording process, the input to Amadeus pauses ...

Thanks, SonicPurity. I also blamed DC.offset, but Amadeus' Waveform Statistics says DC-offset = 0.0000

Well, we are dealing with a low level noise here (-48 dB), so it may not matter.

Sound not centred?

Hi, when recording via the phono input of my ADC > Weiss INT 203 firewire > MacBook Pro (Amadeus 2.0.7) I got this recording of the noise (no sound input) only (vertical scale maximised). Can anybody explain the strange pattern of the left channel lying besides the centre line? Also the right channe...

I should add that the symptom is a greyed out "open file" button that does not allow opening and saving the recording.

Amadeus crashes (?) after disk stops while recording

Amadeus 2.0.6 OS 10.6.8 Martin: I had three unfortunate crashes when I recorded an SACD in 96kHz (24 bits). It usually happens, when the SACD stops revolving and there is no more signal. Hence, I need to catch the recording at the right time instead of Amadeus recording silence. May it be that my We...

Duplicate and triplicate copies with batch jobs

I am running batch jobs for converting FLACS to AIFF. The tracks are ordered in folders in a 2-level hierarchy (Artist > Album). When I do NOT tick "open folders recursively" the converted files are put at the same level as the original FLACS. If I tick "open folders recursively"...

ALAC equivalence of "save as" formats?

AmadeusPro's menu "Save as..." lists

AAC ADTS
Apple CAF file
MPEG-4 Audio
Apple MPEG-4 Audio
Bookmarkable AAC

Which, if any, of these is equivalent to Apple Lossless Audio Codec?

Sorry for this simple question, but I'm no audio engineer ;-)

Thanks

1st of April joke

I assume the funny Amadeus icon in the Dock today (1st of April) is your idea and not the action of some intruder in my Mac?
